  I think the "flying machine" is really an airplane or helicopter from the past, from the time of the Rusty Ruins people. I'm thinking that Shay and the other ugly escapees are manning the aircraft and searching the area for people that may be trying to find them.

The Rusty Ruins is a city from a long time ago when there used to be lots of people. It has knocked down buildings.

Peer pressure is all over junior high. I think at this age it is really bad because teens hormones go out of whack. Teens that hang out with the wrong crowd usually get caught in to bad peer pressure which can lead to drugs, alchol, smoking.

There was a a time when I got in to peer pressure when my friend was trying to get me curse. I told him NO!

It tells me that never feel your ugly because everyone is pretty/handsome some where inside. It also tells me that pretty people are the ugly ones because looks don't matter, because if you cut someone open everyone is the same inside.

"Everyone judged everyone else based on their appearance. People who were taller got better jobs...people who killed one another over stuff like having different skin color."(referring to when everyone was ugly)

Uglies and pretties don't get the concept that it doesn't matter how tall or how short you are. Everyone is the same inside. If everyone is the same inside they don't need to choose jobs by height because they could be very smart, and be the shortest person alive.

"It's the only way to make peoople equal."(becoming pretty)

It doesn't matter if your pretty or not everyone is the same inside and out. No one is the same outside and you can't judge people from the way they speak are the way they look. God made everyone different and know one is the same.

Tally was frightened, and could not find a escape. She hides in a bushy area hoping she could not be seen, but she made a noise and someone heard the noise. Her name was Shay and she was an ugly too. She had came to spy on a friend too. They both end up making there way back to Ugly Town.

I think they have bungee jumping because it is a way to escape from a fire in case of an emergency and there is no escape.
